During the meeting, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmu\u015f presented a 12-article draft regarding the rules and procedures of the commission. One of the articles concerned the commission&#8217;s name. The opposition objected to this name. Following their objection, Kurtulmu\u015f and coordinators from political parties held a special meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the meeting, some changes were made to the articles. However, the name of the commission remained unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opposition also opposed some phrases within the 12-article draft.&nbsp;While no significant changes were made to the first five articles, a major change was made to Article 6. Initially, it stated: \u201cDecisions are taken by a three-fifths majority of those attending the meeting.\u201d This was changed to: \u201cDecisions are taken by a three-fifths majority of the total number of members.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Article 7, the phrase \u201cThe commission may decide not to record minutes when deemed necessary\u201d was changed to: \u201cDecisions of meetings determined to be held behind closed doors are confidential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The revised draft was then submitted to the commission.
