{"id":13940,"date":"2025-07-01T09:07:40","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T09:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freedomforabdullahocalan.org\/en\/?p=13940"},"modified":"2025-07-01T09:07:42","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T09:07:42","slug":"a-39-member-delegation-goes-to-istanbul-seeking-to-meet-with-abdullah-ocalan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freedomocalansyria.com\/en\/?p=13940","title":{"rendered":"A 39-member delegation goes to Istanbul seeking to meet with Abdullah \u00d6calan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A 39-member delegation convened under the leadership of the European Freedom and Peace Platform is going to Turkey with a request to meet with Abdullah \u00d6calan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/anfenglishmobile.com\/uploads\/en\/articles\/2025\/06\/20250630-20250630-image-870x-684193c0c3a64-webp7da07a-image-jpeg69e4be-image.jpg?w=1170&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:429px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A 39-member delegation convened under the leadership of the European Freedom and Peace Platform (EFFP) is coming to Turkey with a request to meet with Abdullah \u00d6calan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Composed of academics, journalists, writers, politicians, lawyers, and trade unionists, the delegation will hold various meetings in Istanbul on July 1\u20132.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EFFP has launched the campaign \u201cI Want to Visit Abdullah \u00d6calan\u201d to contribute to the democratic resolution of the Kurdish question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign has been ongoing in many European countries, especially Germany, France, Belgium, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 1, the delegation will first meet with the Asr\u0131n Law Office, which represents Abdullah \u00d6calan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That same day, the delegation will visit the Istanbul Provincial Organization of the Peoples\u2019 Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and will then meet with DEM Party co-chair Tuncer Bak\u0131rhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 2, the delegation\u2019s activities will continue with a \u201cRound Table Meeting\u201d at a hotel in Taksim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the meeting, participants will discuss opportunities for international contributions to resolving the Kurdish question, strengthening channels of democratic politics, and perspectives for a peaceful solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the meeting, a joint declaration is expected to be published on behalf of the delegation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 39-member delegation convened under the leadership of the European Freedom and Peace Platform is going to Turkey with a request to meet with Abdullah \u00d6calan.
