Dozens of people from Kurdistan attended a meeting at the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Frankfurt on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting, held within the framework of the \u201cCall for Peace and Democratic Society\u201d made by Abdullah \u00d6calan on February 27, was attended by Nil\u00fcfer Ko\u00e7, representative of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), who made significant statements regarding the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nil\u00fcfer Ko\u00e7 addressed the functioning of the process and the key issues that need to be understood, emphasizing how \u00d6calan has drawn attention to the deadlock in the Middle East and the crisis into which Turkey has been dragged in this new period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kurdish politician underlined the importance of the Democratic Society paradigm declared on February 27. Pointing to the Israel-Iran war, she stated that \u00d6calan\u2019s paradigm is the only solution for the peoples who are trapped in the war spiral in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nil\u00fcfer Ko\u00e7 pointed out the escalating conflict in the Middle East and stated that several opportunities have emerged for the Kurds during this period. She explained that the resolution of the Kurdish question lies within the \u201cDemocratic Society\u201d paradigm, which must be properly understood by the Turkish state. \u201cIf Turkey fails to recognize the significance of this process and does not show the necessary sensitivity, the Kurds will not be the ones to lose,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ko\u00e7 stated, \u201cThe PKK was a means, and it has fulfilled its purpose. At this stage of a century-long war, Abdullah \u00d6calan has always pursued solution initiatives, as was also seen in the early 1990s.  At the point we have reached today, the dissolution of the PKK is a timely decision. This means that, under the evolving and necessary conditions, a new chapter is being opened, and the struggle is moving to a more democratic ground. It should be considered a result of the gains that have been made.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
